Listening to spiritual podcasts to silence your own head is self-medicating. I run away from myself, too, not in that way or with substances, but fleeing the shit doesn’t make the shit go away. It’s a kind of self-rejection if you don’t stay with it. And doesn’t your self deserve better? The first answer to every question (within or without) is compassion. Maybe your brain will settle faster when you sit if you let it be more generally. Namaste.
